What stands out
- Within a single rank, one game's result moves gold income more than the whole climb from Iron to Master+ does. A Master+ mid laner earns 47 more a minute than an Iron one, and a Gold mid laner earns about 65 more in a win than in a loss.
- Deaths and gold per minute are what split wins from losses, in every role. Kill participation and vision hardly move.
- Supports change the most as they climb. Their vision score nearly doubles, and control wards go from about one a game to five.
- Damage is flat. A Silver top laner out-damages a Master+ one.

Questions
Where do these numbers come from?
Riot's public match history for ranked solo queue: 63,189 player-games across 6,319 matches since December 2025. All ten players in each match are counted.
Why do Master, Grandmaster and Challenger share a row?
Games at the very top are scarce, so those three are pooled into Master+. That keeps the row about as solid as the others.
What does typical mean here?
It's the middle player: half the games at that rank and role come in above it and half below. One 25-kill stomp can drag an average a long way (the middle barely notices it). Deaths and control wards come in whole numbers that bunch together, so those two use the average.
Built from 63,189 player-games in 6,319 ranked solo matches played since December 2025 (patches 25.24 to 26.20), mostly on North America servers. A match counts at the rank of the player whose history it came from. Remakes and early surrenders are left out. Games behind each rank: Iron 1,930, Bronze 1,880, Silver 1,880, Gold 2,420, Platinum 8,680, Emerald 32,955, Diamond 10,290, Master+ 3,150. "Typical" is the middle player, except deaths and control wards, which use the average. Updated October 2026.
